Taking a decision is often far easier than implementing it – in this session, Sir David Dalton explored the practice of decision-making in complex adaptive systems, the factors that influence decision-makers and how we might create the conditions for reliable implementation of decisions against this backdrop.
David is a governor of the Health Foundation and has been a chief executive in the NHS for more than 20 years, including roles in Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and the Northern Care Alliance.
