Across the East and West Midlands, 12 local integrated intelligence functions are helping health and care system leaders to make better, evidence-informed decisions through high-quality analysis and evaluation
In each system, the integrated intelligence function is the trusted local team for:
- independent analytical insight for questions of strategic importance
- access to knowledge
- support for effective, evidence informed translation of analysis into action
- ensuring that the ICS becomes a learning system and embraces evaluation as a fundamental part of implementation
- advancing decision quality
- additional functions determined locally, for example workforce development; citizens panel development; research and development
These intelligence functions are actively networked across the Midlands to realise the benefits of scale and collaboration.
This is a radical development with enormous potential.
